DESIGNED FOR OUR DAUGHTER
Our daughter is obsessed with fish. At the garden centre, at her nursery, anywhere there's water, she's there. She's named every fish at nursery, and visiting them twice a day is the only reason we can get her through the door. They're part of our family at this point. We knew we wanted to create something for her at home. Something she could watch, feed, and sit next to on a summer evening. But when we started looking, we couldn't find anything we'd actually want in our garden.

EVERYTHING FELT WRONG
The options were either flimsy plastic tubs that looked like storage containers, or major building projects, liner, pump, plumbing, groundwork, and weeks of disruption. We didn't want a building site. We didn't want cheap. And we didn't have a huge garden to hide it in.
We wanted something that looked as considered as the furniture we'd chosen for the patio. Something that enhanced the space, not compromised it. A raised pond our daughter could look into without kneeling on the ground, which sat next to our seating area and worked as a natural divider in the garden. It didn't exist.

SO WE DESIGNED IT
We spent months developing a form that would hold living water; fish, plants, and the whole system, inside a single, clean object. No visible pumps. No external filter boxes. No trailing cables. Everything integrated, everything concealed.
The result is Plinth. A raised architectural object, built from UV-stable fibreglass, with biological filtration, a fountain, and lighting, all built inside. It arrives as one complete unit. You position it, fill it, plug it in, and it runs. No digging.
No disruption.

DESIGNED FOR REAL GARDENS
The 180 sits next to our seating area now. It works as a divider between our patio and a little area of play space for our daughter. She watches the fish every morning. We sit next to it every evening, even in the Cheshire weather!
It does exactly what we set out to build. It gives her something she loves, and it gives us something we're proud of in our garden.
That's what Plinth is for. Not showrooms. Real families. Real gardens. Real spaces.
